Jehovah's Witnesses Are "The Religion Of Hatred!" Why Would We Want To Return To Your Organization?
by PokerPlayerPhil ini saw some of the quotes coming out of the new assembly brochure "return to jehovah", why would anyone abused by the congregation decide to return for more hate by the congregation?
jehovah's witness are the first one's who tell you "we are god's organization because we are the only religion that has the love jesus christ spoke about!
", that's a big whooper!

Im not sure I understand the urge to disassociate. I hear usually two things. First, that the person wants "closure". Second that its the "principle".
1) Closure - Some people may get closure from this, but they have created ta mentality that will gain closure from the act. Embracing what you have been up to this point, and deciding to be something else, is fine. Nothing need be "closed". that is a misnomer. Don't cut your nose to spite their face. Just leave. Be who you are. Tell your family what you are comfortable with, and don't look back. No letter required.
2) Principle - What principle exactly? I used to eat peanut butter. Now I don't for some health reasons, and because I try to stay away from legumes. I'm an almond butter man. Have I written to the peanut council of america and explained why they have lost me? I realize that is extreme, but that is my point. there is no principle here. that is what JW's WANT you to think. I remember clearly being taught that if you were a catholic and you became a JW, that you better get your name "off their list". Why? That simply makes no sense.

The Problems with Blood Fractions
by God_Delusion inhi guys & gals,.
i've written a new blog on the problems with blood fractions.
i'd really love to hear your feedback on it.. http://www.jehovahswitnessblog.com/blood/the-problem-with-blood-fractions.

Good work. I have never seen a JW deal with the blood transfusion issue in any intelligent manner. It is quite frankly, indefensible.
It all reverts back to trusting the slave. the weakest argument that can possibly be made, when you have just showed a flagship doctrine to be incorrect.

It really upsets me that they set up at all these local community colleges. I am going to be writing to one locally, regarding their activity. Are they aware they have anti-scientific views that require strict adherence to the refusal of even life saving procedures, under the penalty of communal shinning? Are they aware that their own institution in which they are being allowed to leave literature is being denigrated as a snare of Satan? Higher education is a big no no.
How about suggesting they have a "religious fair" of sorts if its about exposing the students to various ideas, so that all religions (and even a secular table), can have representation. Then we will see if they show up.
Maybe we could get a few of us here to contribute to this letter, and make it available to send to community colleges anywhere you may see them.

100 Years Ago, 1.5 Million Christian Armenians Were Systematically Killed. Today, It's Still Not A 'Genocide'
by fulltimestudent inwhatever the reasons, whatever the excuses, whatever the denials - its still a tragedy:.

Turkey has a very clear anti Armenian policy. Its sickening. It even moved a celebration regarding a key WW1 invasion to the same day that Armenians acknowledge this even.....for spite?.......to distract?
The fact America won't even call it a genocide, because Turkey gets all butt hurt over it is just ridiculous. Yet Turkey is a strategic partner for the west in the region, so we don't hurt their feelings over their extermination of 1.5 million Armenians before the Germans made holocaust fashionable.
Its just insane. Armenia has never healed, never recovered, and Mt Ararat which can be seen looming over the capital, is a constant reminder of Turkeys land grab. the border isn't even open!
Turkey can suck balls.

Thank you for redirecting me to the right organization!
by economy inthank you, jw.net and cofty, for redirecting me to the right organization!.
when i posted why did god permit scriptures to be corrupted?
then i thought, if there is an organization that believes all scriptures are corrupted (which obviously makes it enemy of all religions), that organization is not ordinary, but gutsy, lionhearted, and worthy of close examination!

I had an elder come by (young guy). they were just in service in the area. Bonus.....the inactive guy.
So I invited them in for water. My family was so dynamic that morning. Music playing. Baby jumping in the jumpy. Toddler singing songs. Cooking breakfast. Just cleaned. Getting ready to go to basketball practice.
Honestly.....he just couldn't go there. I mean, how do you turn on the somber......in the middle of so much happiness.
It was very disarming. what you did with these guys was similar. But more than one at a time? No way. I simply wouldn't entertain it.
